Research Coordinator for the Social and Behavioral Science Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania

The University of Pennsylvania, Social and Behavioral Science Initiative (SBSI) seeks applicants for the position of Research Coordinator. SBSI is an interdisciplinary initiative comprised of scholars within the School of Arts and Sciences interested in the study of human social behavior and decision making. The Research Coordinator position consists of coordinating and supporting research conducted by SBSI faculty within a shared laboratory. In addition to helping execute experiments, the research coordinator will oversee and manage the laboratory’s student research assistants, website, participant pool, budget, subject payment, and administration. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the design and direction of research.

– Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related behavior science discipline (e.g. organizational behavior, economics, and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
– Familiarity with research methods, especially experimental work involving human social behavior and decision-making.
– Excellent interpersonal, managerial, organizational and communication skills required.
– Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, intermediate knowledge of one statistical software package (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS) and basic programming experience is a plus!
