Tuesday’s Child Internship

Tuesday’s Child is a behavioral intervention and parent training program that has been serving the families of Chicago and beyond for over 35 years.  Parents receive support from other parents and learn our evidence-based interventions.  Meanwhile, their children are in a behavioral classroom (structured much like a pre-school) experiencing the same interventions their parents are learning.  Populations served include: children ages 2-7 years old, neurodiverse children, children with developmental delays, English and Spanish speaking families, and full range of socioeconomic statuses.  Please see our website for more information: Tuesdayschildchicago.com.
We offer internship programs for undergraduate and graduate students during the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms. Our Summer programming includes our TC Summer Camp. Interns learn and provide hands-on clinical experience to children ages 2-7 years old in our classrooms as well as the opportunity to participate in treatment planning and grand rounds with the treatment team.  Opportunities are often available for involvement in our social thinking group, Friendship Club.  Supervisors to interns are licensed social workers and licensed psychologist. Interns learn a lot, have fun, and often come back to volunteer with us.  Several have gone on to join our team full-time after finishing their graduate training. Please direct interest and inquiries to the Program Director, Stephany Small. (773) 423-5055
